The television show How It's Made inspired us to make an article. The program explores how everyday objects or products we seldom stop to think about are made. In each episode, viewers learn how many common items – such as dental crowns, green house tomatoes, rock climbing gear, pipes, luxury sports cars, traditional bookbinding and flight simulators – are manufactured in high-tech factories or processing plants around the world.
By making this video, we wanted to give you a unique view into our production hall. 3i cases are made with extreme pressure, even the smallest injection molded part requires a very large and heavy mold. Many of our parts, such as our patented trigger latches are produced by the injection mold process and some of the molds weigh almost 30,000 lbs! The iSeries cases include a gasket that provides a watertight and dust proof seal.
